The Report was the first one about China's e-commerce situation, edited by MOFCOM, issued by departments of China's government and aimed at publishing relative info to various communities in the world through analyzing the establishment and development situation of China's e-commerce field to introduce the direction of governmental basic policy to develop more quickly and healthily China's e-commerce under the guide of policy and establishment of external environment.
The Report is in 3 parts:
First,"China's e-commerce development report", pointing out the current situation, characters and tendency of China's e-commerce.
Second,"China's E-commerce Investigation Report", starting from enterprises questionnaire to introduce basic infor about e-commerce of enterprises, analyzing the application level of enterprises info and put forward his viewpoints on enterprises e-commerce development.
Third,7 important appendixes, describing the objective reality of the development of E-commerce.
Liao Xiaoqi said at the launching ceremony that e-commerce was a modern and advanced communication style. Information and network was the precondition of e-commerce, market was the power and enterprises were main part of e-commerce. Function of government was to create favorable external environment for e-commerce development. He said that e-commerce was of high efficiency, low transaction cost and good development prosperity.
Regarding to how to push the research and development of e-commerce for universities and researching institutions, Liao Xiaoqi suggested: Deeply analyze typical cases, emphasize on characters of typical cases; Stress on the summary of experiences of enterprises, and discuss the development tendency of e-commerce; Attach much importance to comparative research between China and other countries, enhance research of theory and development regulations and guide China's e-commerce to develop with health and sustaining.
